Nasir, глянула. Что сказать... Это не перевод, а... выражаясь цензурно, удобрение. Не потому, что роман не в моём вкусе, а потому, что переводчика на мыло.

Понимаешь, там наслаждаться весьма проблемно, потому что видно, что текст, скорей всего, переводился пословно с помощью электронного переводчика, а потом в лучшем случае просматривался серым троечником, даже без толстого словаря.

Ессно так. Просто я люблю сопоставлять оригинал и перевод, и разные переводы одного и того же текста.

Michael Praed is returning to the tour of the Sound of Music to play Captain Von Trapp for just one date when it visits the Norwich Theatre Royal from 9th-20th August. He will star alongside former Emmerdale star Verity Rushworth.
Michael Praed has already toured with this production and left earlier this year when Jason Donovan took over the role.  He has appeared in a range of West End productions including Aspects of Love and The Pirates of Penzance.

An actor who made his name playing the title role in the TV drama Robin of Sherwood before starring in the American soap Dynasty is to appear at Norwich Theatre Royal next month.
Michael Praed will play Captain Von Trapp in The Sound of Music when it comes to the city in August.
Michael, who will star alongside former Emmerdale star Verity Rushworth in the musical, is returning to the role after previously playing the part earlier in the production’s tour.
He has appeared in a range of West End productions, including Aspects of Love and The Pirates of Penzance.
He has also been part of the UK cast of national tours of Sleuth and Copacabana, and was last seen at Norwich Theatre Royal in An Ideal Husband.
The Sound of Music will be at Norwich Theatre Royal from August 9 until August 20.
Tickets for the show cost between £6.50 and £42.50.

О Майкле в "Прекрасных и проклятых":
The Beautiful and Damned is a real treat, with fantastic performances all round from a lively, energetic and ‘up-for-it’ cast who put there all into the production. Michael Praed delivers a stunning portrayal of F.Scott with disarming charm, his leading lady is Helen Anker who is unbelievably good as Zelda. A startling voice and superlative dance skills are only matched by her acting talents as she brings this character to life in a way that no other actress could do. The supporting cast are all worthy of a mention Susannah Fellows plays Zelda’s mother with finesse and Jo Gibb’s multi role part really shows off her talents. Particular praise must go to Jake Samuels in the chorus who shone throughout and gave his all, particular during a fantastic tap dance routine at the beginning of act two.

Her Captain Von Trapp (played by Michael Praed) however, really lets the show down. Obviously his character is offish and only begins to defrost halfway through the story, but his performance is just so wooden that you don’t give a monkeys about his outcome whatsoever. The pivotal scene where his relationship with the Baroness ends and she leaves is literally played on fast forward and within 30 seconds he’s shackin’ up with Maria. Trust me, love stories in pantomimes move slower than this one.
