Robin Hood and the Sorcerer

The soldiers are moving off the beach up the hills to the castle. Robin and Marion run through the castle, but come to a halt at the end of the entrance hallyway. Zoooooooooom in on Nasir, who is blocking their way. He's all bad-ass in black and chainmail, and in general just looks like a magnificent hottie. He calmly draws both swords sheathed across his back, and readies to fight. Mrrrorw. Robin steps forward cautiously, Albion in hand. And they fight. Yum yum yum. Nasir is calm while they swordfight, and Robin's freaking out a little, but managing to stave off Nasir. Robin is outmatched, though, and Nasir is able relatively easily to disarm Robin. Nasir holds his (saracen) swords in an X at Robin's neck. After a beat, he smiles and puts his swords away, releasing Robin. Much, Tom, and John rush in.

MUCH
Tom!

Tom aims his bow at Nasir.

ROBIN
Noooooooooo! [Transcribers Note: Ok, I have this show on DVD, PAL VHS box sets, and taped off of TV from when I was in middle school. At this point, in my tape versions Robin shouts, "He spared my life!" to the merrymen who think they are trying to save him. In the DVD version, this line is not there. Weird! I don't like it. Why would they take that out?] I told you to stay in Sherwood.

JOHN
You ungrateful bastard.

Robin grabs Marion's hand, and they race out. Nasir observes them leave, looking thoughtful. And hot. Dickon and Will run up to lookout from a wall surrounding the castle and see the soldiers coming, led by Gisburne. Will positions himself at the gate in the wall, readying his bow and arrow, while Dickon runs into the castle. Will lets fly an arrow, killing a soldier. Ooooooh, the fighting music starts! It is on, y'all! The foot soldiers start running, and the mounted ones prod their horses into a gallop. Dickon runs into the gang in the castle hallway.

DICKON
Soldiers!...................etc.................Robin kills the soldier. Marion and Much run, run, run, and Robin starts racing after them. Calling out to Will, and running all out now, he tosses Albion to Will, who deftly catches the sword. Awesome. Robin leaps and makes a flying tackle from the hill to knock a soldier off his horse. Not sure why that was necessary, but it was damn cool anyway. He ushers Marion and Much out of the gate in the wall, out of the field of battle. John's taking on a horseborne soldier. Lots of fighting. Fight fight fight. Robin and Marion mount a horse, while Much looks scared and confused. More fighting. Fight fight fight. There are way, way more soldiers than outlaws. Robin and Marion ride away. Cut to the battle aftermath. The camera pans, and we see the dead scattered across the keep. Plenty of soldiers, but Dickon and Tom lie among them. Sad! Bye now! A soldier drags away Tom's body as the Abbot Hugo and the Sheriff ride up, calling for Gisburne, and sounding pissed. Cut to Sherwood. The gang sits among the trees and twirping birds. Everyone's sad.

WILL
Tom's dead.

ROBIN
And Dickon.

WILL
They were going to Lincoln. Remember?

ROBIN
(angrily) Nothing's forgotton, Will.

WILL
Half of us gone. (He covers his face)

Robin looks around at the group. John is crying, and Much turns away from Robin's eyecontact. Robin looks down, sad and oh so pretty, and then stands up, as Marion watches him.

ROBIN
John?

John can't even form words because he's crying. Awwwwww! Robin walks away, Marion still watching him.

WILL
It's over

ROBIN
No. No, it's not over.

WILL
What do you want? Do you want us all dead? (pointing) John, Much, Marion, do you want Marion dead?! For what?

ROBIN
(holds out his arms, gesturing at the woods surrounding them and looking beautiful in the sunshine) For this! Listen to me. Our friends who were killed, they'll never starve, or be tortured, or be chained in the dark. They're here with us in Sherwood, and they always will be, because they're free!

Marion smiles a little, and Tuck, who has also been crying, makes the sign of the cross. Cut to a beautiful, peaceful lake. Beautiful, peaceful music begins. Awww, crap, I'm tearing up already! Sniff. This part gets me every damn time. Robin shoots a flaming arrow into the water. Flashback to Tom and Dickon fighting. Marion, then Will, then John, then Much, then Tuck, amid flashbacks, fire off flaming arrows one by one. The camera pans and we see another figure standing behind them with a flaming arrow. The arrow flies over their heads and into the lake. Robin and Marion turn to look. It's Nasir, who smiles at them. Robin and Marion look at each other, not knowing quite what to make of this development. Nasir cocks an eyebrow, and I swoon and melt into a little puddle. I love you, baby!

The theme song kicks off, as Robin and Marion walk through a beautiful meadow full of white flowers. Marion's dressed all in white, and has a crown of flowers atop her gorgeous head. Herne officiates a wedding ceremony, and Robin and Marion kiss, and then smile adoringly at each other. Pan up to the trees, and the credits roll.
